Philosophy

At Grow Forward Occupational Therapy, feeding therapy begins with connection and trust. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and supported—not pressured to eat.

My approach is responsive, child-centered, and relationship-based, with therapy tailored to each child’s unique sensory, oral-motor, developmental, and emotional needs. We work together to build skills, expand comfort and confidence with food, and support positive mealtime experiences while respecting each child’s communication, autonomy, and readiness.

Caregivers are an essential part of the therapeutic process. I partner with families to develop practical, individualized strategies that can be incorporated into everyday routines and mealtimes, helping caregivers feel confident in supporting their child without pressure while maintaining appropriate nutritional, developmental, and therapeutic goals.

The goal is not simply to get a child to eat more foods, but to help children develop the skills, confidence, regulation, and trust they need to participate more successfully in eating and mealtimes.
